Work day per Month: 26 days/month
Work Location: Doha / Ras Laffan
Contract Duration: 3 Years
Reports to: Head of commissioning (Topsides & STP Onshore)

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing Commissioning during preparation and execution stage of each wellhead platform to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
Manage all Commissioning activities related to the electrical scope. This role requires effective coordination and communication with various EPC contractors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Manage all execution of electrical commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS.
Responsible for electrical commissioning activities onshore and offshore.
Lead execution for electrical commissioning at site (onshore/offshore) and keep commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management, maximising onshore commissioning activities vs offshore.
Supervise the contractor electrical commissioning activities making sure the commissioning methodology is respected and the system database is used properly.
Accountable for readiness of the commissioning spare parts and special tools for electrical packages.
Manage system completion, walkdowns, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for electrical systems.
Contribute to the development of commissioning documents, including procedures, method statements, and check sheets used during commissioning.
Ensure the correct application of safety and cybersecurity procedures during electrical commissioning activities (1st energization, LOTO, PTW, JSA).
Maintain a register of lessons learned for the offshore scope.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering
8 years experience with large project in Oil and Gas industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
Experiences for handling EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors.
Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
Experiences for managing commissioning execution and performing OTs of all electrical systems such as UPS, normal and emergency power distribution, subsea cable and umbilical and transformers.
Strong knowledge and experience of electrical systems, including LV and HV systems, power distribution board, control systems, protection relays and subsea power cable.
Familiar with LOTO procedures and electrical codes and standards.
Conversant with ATEX/IEC regulations.
Experience in start-up support and handover to Operation.
Experience in offshore environment is a plus.
