Commissioning Building Lead

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Building Lead to join a major LNG project, supporting the delivery of all stick-built buildings and associated systems.
This role will be critical in ensuring the successful commissioning and handover of buildings—including LV distribution, HVAC, plumbing, and telecom systems—ensuring they are safe, compliant, and fully operational prior to start-up.
You will be involved from engineering through to site execution, coordinating across multiple disciplines to achieve key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for all stick-built buildings and associated systems (LV, HVAC, plumbing, telecom)
• Ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of systems to Operations
• Supervise on-site commissioning activities and manage interfaces with contractors and vendors
• Contribute to commissioning procedures, planning, and deliverables during the engineering phase
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Operations teams
• Ensure contractor performance meets contractual and technical requirements
• Oversee preparation and execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules
• Support achievement of key milestones including Mechanical Completion (MC) and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU)
• Ensure buildings are constructed and commissioned in line with project specifications
• Coordinate with Operations for system testing, validation, and handover

Candidate Profile Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Construction, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and utilities

Experience

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in onshore oil & gas or large infrastructure projects
• At least 10 years in supervisory roles managing teams
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in commissioning buildings or related systems
• At least 5 years in a senior or lead commissioning role
