Commercial Services Advisor (Interim)

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Commercial Services Advisor based in Aberdeen. Thsi will be an interim role for c6 months, up until July 2026.

Candidates will be experienced in Operator commercial support, in terms of drafting complex proximity and crossing agreements. You will ideally be based in Aberdeen and able to work in the offices for 3 days per week (+ 2 days from home)  early availability to start would also be of benefit.
 
The role:
You will primarily support delivery of organisational readiness for 2026 annual offshore work scope campaigns. This will include acting in the capacity of the company as work scope lead and providing integrated response – often at short notice - to notifications from third parties of work scopes proximate to company assets. You will do this by: 
 
  • Project managing (drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing) multiple new proximity and crossing agreements at pace and in response to dynamic business needs – this includes securing expert functional inputs from colleagues across e.g. Legal, Finance and Technical
  • Proactively managing competing demands and co-ordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely progress – concurrently across different co-venture and counterparty operators – per project deadlines
  • Rapidly developing and implementing new relationships and networks, together with a proficiency in key digital tools e.g. Contracts Agreements Tool and DocuSign
  • Ensuring completion of all document filing and records management requirements in compliance with company policy
 
What We Need from You:
  • Prior experience of negotiating proximity and crossing agreements and commercial acumen
  • Learner mindset: ability to quickly absorb and organise new information, to swiftly apply new learnings and to escalate issues effectively when required
  • Drive, pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset even when faced with uncertainty and/or lack of information (self-starter and team player)
  • Good networking, influencing, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Eye for detail – reliably able to perform robust due diligence in review of agreements with consistent sharpness and rigour in outputs
  • Flexibility - this role is operational and will, from time to time, require delivery outwith normal working hours
  • External focus - informed by an awareness of the current UKCS business environment.
