Then this maybe the role for you.
Orion Group are working with a Tier 1 contractor to source a Commercial Manager, who will play a pivotal role in one of Scotland’s most exciting new commercial developments.
Initially based from our clients prestigious Glasgow based office or Inverness, you’ll lead commercial activities during the tender and pre-construction phase. Upon contract award, you’ll transition to a site-based role, where you’ll manage the commercial delivery of the project on the ground in the Highlands.

What you'll be doing
- Lead the commercial strategy for the project from tender to completion
- Prepare and review estimates, tender submissions, and contract negotiations
- Drive financial performance, cost control, and value engineering initiatives
- Manage risk, procurement, supply chain relationships, and commercial reporting
- Act as a mentor and leader to commercial staff, championing professional development
- Ensure compliance with governance, GMCEs, and Businesses Cultural Framework
Who we're looking for
- A qualified Commercial Manager with a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or working towards)
- Proven experience in structures-focused roles within the construction sector
- Skilled in managing commercial teams, contract negotiations, and cost reporting
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts, procurement strategies, and digital tools
