Job Title: Cold End Engineer
Location: Milan, Italy 
Reporting to: Commissioning Manager

We are currently recruiting an experienced Cold End Engineer to join the Commissioning team of the Mozambique LNG Project, a world-class LNG development located in Afungi, Mozambique.
This position offers involvement from the engineering phase in Milan through to site execution in Mozambique, playing a critical role in delivering the LNG Train Cold End and LNG Storage systems safely to Operations.
Role Purpose The Cold End Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of the LNG Train Cold End, LNG Run-down Lines, and LNG Storage systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery through Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Start-Up (RFSU), and toward Ready for Loading (RFL).
As a key member of the Project Commissioning team, you will ensure facilities are handed over to Operations in optimal condition and in full compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities Commissioning & Execution
  • Oversee commissioning activities for LNG Train Cold End and LNG Storage systems.
  • Supervise preparation and scheduling of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure safe achievement of MC, RFSU, and RFL milestones.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities under SIMOPS following hydrocarbon introduction.
  • Manage interfaces between contractors and ensure seamless system integration.
Engineering Phase Involvement (Milan)
  • Contribute to commissioning engineering deliverables.
  • Provide feedback during design to ensure operability and commissionability.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to prepare for execution.
Site Supervision (Afungi)
  • Supervise contractor commissioning teams on site.
  • Ensure facilities are constructed and commissioned in accordance with project specifications.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate witnessing of activities with Operations teams.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Interface with:

    • Contracts & Procurement
    • Project Controls

Candidate Profile Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Process Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of APCI LNG Process and LNG Storage Tanks.
Experience
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in onshore and/or offshore Oil & Gas projects.
  • Minimum 10 years in supervisory roles.
  • Minimum 10 years’ documented experience in commissioning of Control & Instrumentation.
  • At least 5 years in senior commissioning roles within LNG projects.
  • Proven experience delivering MC, RFSU, and RFL milestones.
