As an CNC Machine Operator, you will set up and run CNC machines producing a consistent quality product.
As an CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:
• Set up and runs all CNC machines (lathes, mills) producing a consistent quality product
• Develop programs to be used in the machining process of production orders
• Maintain and update program files
• Complete necessary process inspection sheets and other documents supporting our ISO 9001 certification procedures
• Inspect product to ensure compliance with CAD print and ISO 9001
• Read, interpret, and work from CAD prints
• Provide backup work for any department in the plant as needed
• Complete forms and documents that are used in the improvement of our processes
• Provide general maintenance of the machine tool, checks oil and coolant levels
• Uses tools and supplies properly in the machining process, i.e., inserts, drills, coolant, etc.
• Clean machine and work area
• Attend and participates in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training
• Perform other duties as assigned based on workload and business need
To be successful in this role you will:
• High school diploma or GED
• Vocational training as a CNC journeyman machinist
• Minimum of five (5) years CNC machining experience
• Machine tool programming
• Math and calculations
• Reading and proofreading
• Machining theory and practices
• Reasoning and analyzing
• Problem solving and formulations
• Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments
