Job Advert: Structure/Civil Supervisor – LNG Onshore Project (Mozambique)

Location: Afungi Site, Northern Mozambique (Rotational Position)

Contract Type: Long-term rotational assignment

We are seeking an experienced Structure/Civil Supervisor to join a world-class LNG development project in Northern Mozambique. This is a multi-billion-dollar onshore development, including LNG trains, marine facilities, utilities, storage, and major infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all civil and structural construction activities within your assigned area.
  • Enforce strict HSE compliance and lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure construction is performed according to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a strong presence on site to manage progress, resolve technical issues, and report risks or incidents.
  • Monitor and verify construction progress, participate in quality inspections, and contribute to planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with superintendents and technical teams to ensure alignment on execution plans, schedules, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide input to method statements, lessons learned, and ensure smooth handover to commissioning.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in civil/structural engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in civil/structural works on large-scale oil and gas or industrial projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction standards, specifications, and international codes.
  • Proven track record of supervising large-scale worksites with multinational teams.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills; ability to manage change and maintain focus under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Portuguese or French is a plus.
