Civil Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Civil Engineer to play a fundamental role in the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects. With a focus on groundworks, structural foundations, and building infrastructure, this role will provide technical leadership, drive engineering excellence across multiple project phases.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of coordination between design, and construction teams, ensuring that engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and fully compliant with all relevant standards and regulations.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Civil Engineer to play a fundamental role in the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects. With a focus on groundworks, structural foundations, and building infrastructure, this role will provide technical leadership, drive engineering excellence across multiple project phases.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of coordination between design, and construction teams, ensuring that engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and fully compliant with all relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of civil engineering works, including groundworks, deep and shallow foundations, reinforced concrete structures, and associated infrastructure
- Take ownership of engineering coordination, technical leadership across disciplines, ensuring alignment between design intent and site execution
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, temporary works proposals, and construction methodologies
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, including CDM Regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental requirements
- Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
- Manage and monitor project progress, including programme tracking (Plan vs Actual), resource planning, and cost implications
- Lead resolution of complex technical issues, including ground conditions, structural interfaces, and buildability challenges
- Champion best practices in sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or close to achieving chartership with Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or equivalent
- Significant experience in civil engineering within large-scale construction projects, particularly in groundworks, foundations, and structural concrete
- Strong technical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and temporary works
- In-depth knowledge of UK standards, including Eurocodes, British Standards, and CDM Regulations
- Proven ability to lead and manage subcontractors on complex projects
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to project financial performance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or relevant certification
- Familiarity with BIM and digital construction processes
- SMSTS and valid CSCS card
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering and ground investigation interpretation
