We are hiring a Civil & Structural Engineering Lead to support a major LNG expansion project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the civil/structural discipline engineering efforts during the FEED and EPC phases, ensuring all technical, safety, and quality objectives are met. This role is ideal for a motivated engineering professional with strong experience in oil & gas infrastructure projects and excellent coordination skills across stakeholders.

We are hiring a Civil & Structural Engineering Lead to support a major LNG expansion project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the civil/structural discipline engineering efforts during the FEED and EPC phases, ensuring all technical, safety, and quality objectives are met. This role is ideal for a motivated engineering professional with strong experience in oil & gas infrastructure projects and excellent coordination skills across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee FEED/EPC contractors and vendors for civil and structural design and execution.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, Qatari regulations, and international standards.
- Provide expert input into civil/structural design matters including geotechnical, foundation, steel/precast concrete structures, and drainage systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Construction, Operations) and external stakeholders (RLIC, EPC contractors).
- Support design review, risk evaluation, and resolution of civil/structural technical issues.
- Monitor design progress, manage technical changes, and maintain documentation of revisions.
- Assist with commissioning and system completion activities.
- Bachelorโs degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' engineering experience, with at least:
- 4 years in the oil & gas industry
- 1 year in a supervisory or contractor oversight role
- Proven experience in:
- Foundation and structural design
- LNG/sour gas projects
- Brownfield modifications
- EPC contractor oversight
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode).
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant engineering software tools.
- Experience with berth design, seabed dredging, and blast-resistant structures.
- Working knowledge of QatarEnergy LNG project specifications and Ras Laffan industrial area requirements.
