As a C&I Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering control and instrumentation systems across the full project lifecycle – from design through to commissioning and handover. You will be responsible for specifying, reviewing, and integrating instrumentation and control components, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review C&I documentation such as control philosophies, datasheets, I/O schedules, loop diagrams, and cause & effect matrices
- Specify and select appropriate instruments and control systems
- Review supplier technical documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities
- Provide technical support during commissioning and installation
- Ensure designs meet all relevant international and client-specific standards
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to integrate C&I solutions effectively
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and technical clarifications
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering standardisation
- HNC/HND or Degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Proven experience in a similar role within process, water, oil & gas, or related sectors
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control panels, PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
- Familiar with hazardous area instrumentation (ATEX, IECEx) and international standards
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, control narratives, and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel to client sites and supplier facilities in the UK and abroad when required
