Childcare Assistant (Children's Play Barn)

ur Client, a prestigious hotel located in the Highlands of Scotland, currently have an opportunity for a Childcare Assistant to supervise and care for children while assisting in the Play Barn.

Reporting to the Children's Barn Manager, you will work as part of a team and cooperate with all team members.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Follow the Care inspectorate recommendations
  • Provide structure play with the children
  • Monitor busy periods and to promote new business.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children. Previous childminding, team leading, course instructor or any other experience working in the child care sector would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate should also possess excellent communication and social skills, be sensitive and friendly to the needs of children and also have the ability to work unsupervised.

Requirements:

  • PVG checked and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registered
  • Child Protection
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Infection Control

Desired:

  • SVQ Level 2 or similar
