Chemical Treatment Engineer – FPSO Project | China & Suriname
We are currently seeking an experienced Chemical Treatment Engineer to support a major offshore FPSO development project from construction through to first oil and operational phase.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile deepwater project, providing technical leadership across production chemistry, chemical treatment and laboratory operations.
Location
📍 Shanghai / Qidong, China (from Q3 2026)
📍 Paramaribo, Suriname (from Q3 2027)
Key Responsibilities
✔ Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
✔ 5-10+ years of oil & gas experience within production chemistry.
✔ Strong FPSO experience.
✔ Knowledge of chemical injection systems, production chemicals and flow assurance.
✔ Experience supporting commissioning, start-up and/or operations.
✔ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
✔ Fluent English.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical focal point for all production chemistry and chemical treatment activities.
- Manage chemical injection and treatment programmes for topside and subsea systems.
- Coordinate with chemical suppliers, contractors and operations teams.
- Support FPSO construction, commissioning, start-up and operational readiness activities.
- Oversee laboratory operations, sampling programmes and chemical performance monitoring.
- Ensure chemical stock management, logistics and contract execution.
- Provide troubleshooting support and optimize chemical consumption and performance.
- Interface with engineering teams, offshore personnel and technical specialists.
