Our client has a permanent requirement for a Chemical Engineer - Linear Programming to be based in Saudi Arabia.
We are seeking a Linear Programming (LP) Engineer to join Operation Engineering Division of Jazan Refinery Complex.
The operation engineering division is responsible provide high value engineering support for Jazan Refinery Complex targeting safe, optimum, efficient, and reliable performance and maximizing profitability
The LP Engineer primary role is to provide engineering technical support to Jazan Utility facilities.

Minimum requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
You should have 9 years of experience in all aspects of the operations value chain - through refinery processing facilities to the final blended product sales and distribution and feedstock imports and logistics.
You should be familiar with production planning & optimization engineering roles and should have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details and international Standards and Specifications.
You will have experience in refinery business analysis, economics & scheduling and should be well familiar with linear programming. A background in petrochemicals, such as aromatic process, is preferred.
Ability to handle the production budget, production plans and production schedules with feedstock, intermediate and final product inventory planning and forecasting.
Ability to lead & develop the Production Planner and Scheduler to perform their duties & deliver their required outputs to deliver economic optimum plans for the refinery operations
Understanding of the Refinery facilities; their physical and operational constraints and identifying and leveraging the main economic drivers to maximize to gross refinery margin across the whole value chain.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:

Report on weekly & monthly basis production/business performance and measurements.
Ensure adherence to production schedules, plans & budget to derive actual vs planned and deviations and highlight recommendations to address/mitigate the associated gaps.
Update/upgrade the LP model and implement MBO (Multi Blend Optimizer) for blend and product movement scheduling.
Lead determination of production incident losses for insurance.
Ensure and maintain a planning and optimization focus and presence within production, process and maintenance activities.
