Contract Length: ASAP through April 2028
Pay Rate: $57-60/HR based on benefits
Interview Process: 1 round with manager, possibly 3 in total
 
Orion Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager III – Channel Metadata Analyst to support our global pharmaceutical client’s Digital Lab organization in Lake County, IL.
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing marketing metadata operations and digital program workflows across multiple brand teams. The Channel Metadata Analyst will partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure accurate metadata tagging, streamlined digital processes, and reliable reporting across marketing platforms.

This position combines digital marketing operations, data analysis, and program management, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, maintaining data integrity, and supporting large-scale digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operational activities including metadata tagging, governance, and dashboard management across complex brand marketing programs
    • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to maintain updated digital content and ensure alignment with data management standards
    • Utilize Salesforce (CPMT) to manage metadata workflows and operational processes
    • Perform data querying, analysis, and automation using SQL to support reporting and operational insights
    • Design, update, and maintain dashboards and operational reports using Smartsheet, Workfront, and PowerBI
    • Develop and maintain operational documentation such as playbooks, guides, process documentation, and RACI matrices
    • Onboard cross-functional teams and agency partners to digital workflows and operational processes
    • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate data inputs and outputs across systems
    • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational standardization to increase efficiency
    • Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional partners
    • Support operational components of Email Rental and Preference Center management workflows
    • Monitor digital operations best practices and recommend new tools, solutions, or process enhancements
    • Communicate clearly across stakeholders to maintain alignment and ensure timely program execution
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Experience supporting digital marketing operations, database/content management, or project management programs
    • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet, PowerBI, and Salesforce
    • Strong data analysis capabilities including SQL querying (Snowflake preferred)
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while operating independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and program execution
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms
    • Exposure to digital marketing metadata management or marketing technology ecosystems
    • Experience supporting digital campaign operations, reporting, or marketing analytics
