Our Client

Our client is an International innovator who are working in an industry which is continually changing due to consumer interest being at an all-time high. Based in London, but with occasional travel internationally, to European sites, the organisation look to massively support its workforce and give them the platform to be the best they can be.

The Role

Reporting into the Category & Marketing Director, the main responsibility of the Category Manager will be to provide detailed insight on the category as a whole but to offer potential opportunities and challenges which could occur. Liaising closely with the multiple retailers both here in the UK and in Europe you will use both consumer specific data streams as well as Kantar, Nielsen & IRI to illustrate the above.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely to support the Category Marketing Director strategise and implement the Category plan
  • Support sales and marketing teams
  • Work closely with data agencies to ensure that you're utilising and gathering the best information available
  • Use available data sources to offer opportunities / trends within the category
  • Manage category agenda
  • Highlight and proactively take-on research projects which will improve the business
  • Liaises directly with central Insight and Marketing functions to align research needs and outcomes.
  • Strong delivery of insights to both internal and external stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate for this role will be a commercially astute Category professional with the gravitas and experience of working in a fast moving non-food sector. You will be comfortable working both individually and in a team and ideally have experience in the following areas;

  • Exposure to all common data tools such as Kantar, Nielsen and IRI;
  • Good retail systems knowledge;
  • Language skills - fluent in either German or French;
  • Exemplary presentation skills;
  • University graduate (Ideal but not essential);
