Location: Wisconsin or neighbouring states

Orion Partner Plus is proud to be working with an established and fast-growing company in the materials and converting industry to identify a Business Development Manager. This is a key commercial role focused on driving revenue growth through deep customer relationships and market expansion — all within a dynamic, family-run business.

The Opportunity
Following a recent acquisition and strategic expansion, our client is entering an exciting new phase of growth. As Business Development Manager, you’ll take the lead on identifying new business opportunities, expanding key accounts, and developing market presence in both established and emerging sectors.
You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to shape the company’s commercial direction — delivering value-driven solutions to clients, driving revenue, and making a measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development across core and emerging markets.
  • Expand revenue opportunities within existing customer relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and customer advocate, coordinating internal teams to meet client goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape strategy, pricing, and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and activity logs in CRM systems.
  • Lead the development and negotiation of long-term agreements.
  • Monitor performance against targets and proactively mitigate risks to achieving quota.
  • Work cross-functionally with the operations and product management teams.
  • Prepare quotes, sample requests, and process timely orders.
  • Uphold the values, standards, and cultural expectations of the business.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ successful B2B sales experience, ideally within materials, converting, or nonwovens.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Experience working with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Proficient in CRM and pipeline management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (including overnight trips).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to join a family-run business with deep roots, strong values, and a genuine commitment to its people and customers. You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that values transparency, trust, and long-term relationships — both internally and with clients. With a flat structure and entrepreneurial culture, your voice will be heard, your impact will be felt, and your growth will be supported. If you’re looking for a role where you can build lasting relationships, drive meaningful growth, and feel truly connected to the company’s mission, this is it.
