Orion Group Life Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Budgeting Governance Project Manager for our Multinational Medical Devices client based in the Dublin region on an initial 12-month contract.

Job Purpose

The position will provide budgeting & PM support, partnering with the various Medical Devices EU MDR workstream/DRI leads across the or clients Franchises from an R&D, Supply Chain, and SG&A perspective for this very important strategic initiative for our Multinational Medical Device client.

The Budgeting Governance Project Manager will support the program in managing a multi-year budget, via close partnership with the program Finance Lead and the various EU MDR workstream/DRI leads across all the Medical Devices Franchises. They will focus on executing and delivering milestone commitments of the EU MDR program and will help ensure all financial commitments are achieved from both a forecast and actual perspective. This role requires candidates that can effectively navigate financial, business & operational plains whilst managing a large and varied group of senior and executive stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include further development and implementation of the Budget governance Framework, supporting the standard Financial business cycles and target-setting activity, analysing and identifying key trends/risks & developing correlation metrics for spend/execution. In addition, ensuring all forecasting and monthly / quarter-end reporting activities are delivered in a timely and compliant manner. In addition:
* Influencing workstream/DRI leaders by providing key budgetary support and helping to drive decisions and delivering program requirements.
* Develop and implement new governance, process and reporting improvements.
* Responsible for supporting the development and publication of budget execution progress and performance reports/
* Ensuring that all EU MDR budget activity is in full compliance under GAAP and Non-GAAP rules.
* This position will play a key role in partnering with management in the development and framing of presentations for various leadership reviews (i.e. EU MDR leaders, MDLT, J&J Corporate Consolidations, etc.).

Qualifications & Background

* A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
* Experience in both finance/accounting and Project Management is required.
* Candidate must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills while working in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
* Strong financial analysis, business partnering, team building, and influencing skills are preferred.
* This position requires a highly-motivated individual with intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills.
* Individual must work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively take on leadership roles.
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are required to include Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and formulas
* Analyzes the future impact of decisions from a big-picture perspective
* Understands and knows how to use project and portfolio management tools, techniques
* Possesses strong communication skills and acumen to lead the appropriate program discussions with stakeholders, senior leaders and governance/decision making forums; produces and presents clear status reports in a tactful and candid manner
* The position will primarily be a remote role
