Job Description:
The Biologic Manufacturing Associate works onsite in a cleanroom environment. Daily duties involve the set up and operation of equipment such as glass washer / autoclaves, performing media/ buffer preparation, Colum chromatography, and cell culture. Manufacturing Associates will assist in manual handling of cell cultures that become the finished product for the purification of biological drug manufacturing.
Specific activities include:
  • Cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale).
  • Column chromatography.
  • Tangential flow filtration
  • Sampling of in process and raw materials.
  • Set up and operate equipment including Running glass washer / autoclave.
  • Buffer / media preparation.
  • Equipment preparation (CIP / SIP).
  • Record information on batch records, equipment and cleaning logs
  • Uses computers, barcode scanners, and SAP to enter data
  • Maintains inventory of processing supplies
  • Responsible for cleaning the work area
To be successful, you will need experience of:
  • Working knowledge of media/buffer preparation, cell culture or purification of biological drugs is required!
  • 2-3 years of related GMP Manufacturing experience
  • Bachelors degree. preferably in a relevant field of experience.
  • Experience working in an cleanroom environment in manufacturing.
  • working directly with, handling, or coming into contact with chemicals or reagents.
