Join our client a leading civil engineering contractor delivering landmark infrastructure projects across Scotland within the Renewables and Power & Transmission sectors.

About the Role

As an Assistant Temporary Works Coordinator, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring that temporary works on site are designed, installed, and maintained safely and efficiently. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and site management teams, developing your understanding of complex construction methodologies and learning from industry experts.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the Temporary Works Coordinator in implementing and monitoring the Temporary Works Procedure.
  • Assist in reviewing and coordinating temporary works designs and method statements.
  • Conduct site inspections and help ensure that temporary works are correctly installed and maintained.
  • Liaise with designers, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical or safety-related issues.
  • Maintain records, permits, and design documentation in line with company standards.
  • Gain hands-on experience in engineering risk management and construction safety compliance.
What You’ll Bring

You’re an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in civil engineering and construction safety. You enjoy solving technical problems, working collaboratively, and developing your professional expertise.

Requirements:
  • HND/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering discipline.
  • Some site experience within civil engineering, groundworks, or structures (placement or graduate level).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Awareness of temporary works principles and CDM Regulations (training provided).
  • Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
