Overall purpose

To lead maintenance improvement studies across the Fuels UK Storage Terminals to establish cost effective maintenance solutions that deliver compliance, technical assurance and reliability whilst maximising plant availability. To develop and utilise the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) functionality in order to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of planned maintenance activities at the Terminals. The role can be based out of Southampton, Hemel Hempstead or the Isle of Grain, Kent.

Key accountabilities

  • Establish a network of Terminal based CMMS super-users who are able to drive the effective use of CMMS at a local level and provide subject related matter expertise to the Terminal Operations personnel.
  • Act as point of contact for escalated CMMS related issues and provide Terminal Storage Operations Managers (SOM) and Engineering Teams with technical guidance in matters of CMMS utilisation and compliance.
  • Develop effective maintenance programs by leading Terminal based Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies ensuring that they meet regulatory and mandated requirements.
  • Develop medium to long term maintenance strategies, in conjunction with the Engineers and Engineering Manager, aligned with the overall engineering strategy.
  • Identify capability and competency gaps within the Terminal's engineering organisation in respect of CMMS, develop proposals for gap closure and present to the Terminal SOM and the Engineering Manager.
  • Periodically audit the CMMS to determine quality of data input, compliance with conventions and accuracy of registers in reflecting the physical asset base at the Terminals. Identify shortfalls against expectation and recommendations as for improvement.
  • Ensure CMMS configured to enable audit of Terminal engineering activities against standards and with due regard to the Operating Management System (OMS).
  • Develop CMMS reporting capability and performance indicators to allow transparency of maintenance activities and effectiveness and demonstrate critical maintenance compliance, schedule adherence and cost of maintenance.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant and demonstrable experience with CMMS ideally in Frontline, Maximo or SAP PM
  • Excellent knowledge of the equipment processes and standards employed in the oil storage and distribution sector.
  • Thorough understanding of industry related risks (safety and business) and able to relate to specific legislation.
  • Thorough grasp of principals and application of Maintenance / Asset Management techniques such as RCM, CBM, RBM and FMECA.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience with CMMS ideally in Frontline, Maximo or SAP PM
  • HAZOP / LOPA / Risk Assessment and Root Cause Analysis
  • High level of administrative and organisation skills
  • Influencing, motivating, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships at all levels within the organisation and with external contacts

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or qualifications, demonstrated experience and training to an equivalent level.
  • Chartered/Incorporated Engineer, or working towards chartered or incorporated status, with a recognised professional body.
  • IT Skills Certification particularly in MS Applications.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Trained and experienced with Control of Work and Permit to Work systems, confined space entry and working at height.
  • Recognised Safety qualification desirable.

Other

Travel 30- 50% across the other terminals.
