Assembly Fitter – Ballygawley

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Ballygawley. You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly, installation, testing and commissioning of mobile crushing and screening equipment, working from engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities

• Assemble heavy machinery and steel fabrications, including conveyors, crushers, screen boxes, chassis and hoppers.
• Install bearings, shafts, pulleys, drive systems, guards and other mechanical components.
• Install and connect hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses and pipework.
• Fit and route hydraulic and steel pipework to engineering specifications.
• Install electrical harnesses, cables, sensors and protective systems.
• Carry out mechanical checks, fault finding, adjustments and commissioning support.
• Assist with testing of conveyors, crushers, screening, hydraulic and safety systems.
• Complete quality documentation and build records accurately.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping and quality.

About You

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Fitter or Plant Equipment Fitter.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience assembling heavy machinery, mobile equipment or industrial plant.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems, pipe fitting and hose installation.
• Competent with hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and committed to quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable: Experience in crushing/screening, quarrying, mining, recycling or heavy equipment manufacturing, plus relevant engineering qualifications or FLT/MEWP/crane certification.
