We are currently looking for an Area Manager – Flare & Vents to join a major international LNG project in Mozambique.
Location: Afungi
Rotation: 28/28
Mobilisation: September 2026
Duration: 12 months+
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction and integration activities related to flare & vent systems, water treatment facilities, propane storage areas, and API tanks through to handover to the commissioning team.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise construction activities within the assigned area up to commissioning handover
• Promote and enforce a strong HSE culture across all activities
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards
• Coordinate interfaces between multiple project disciplines
• Monitor construction progress and identify schedule, cost, and quality risks
• Participate in technical reviews and construction coordination meetings
• Oversee pre-commissioning and SIMOPS preparation activities
• Ensure QA/QC compliance for flare & vent systems and associated facilities
• Maintain strong working relationships with EPC Contractors and subcontractors
• Support procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of critical equipment and materials
Candidate Profile
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 15 years of experience within Oil & Gas / LNG projects
• At least 5 years of experience on major greenfield projects
• Previous experience on LNG, refinery, petrochemical, or gas processing projects
• Proven experience managing site construction teams
• Strong knowledge of HSE, construction management, and interface coordination
• Fluent English required
• Portuguese or French is considered an advantage
