About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Applications Functional Specialist to provide expert support, integration, and administration for enterprise systems and business applications within a major oil and gas client. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, enhancement, and optimization of ERP systems—particularly within Oracle environments—while supporting cross-functional business areas including Supply Chain, Finance, and Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver day-to-day operational support to users of Oracle Applications, specifically across:
    • Inventory and Warehouse Management
    • Purchasing and Advanced Procurement
    • Custom Applications
    • Enterprise Asset Management
    • Oracle Human Resource Management
  • Lead and support solution reviews, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and change management for Oracle-related bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Manage Oracle ERP user accounts and ensure compliance with internal security and authorization protocols.
  • Provide user support for all enterprise business applications, ensuring effective documentation, training, and system accessibility.
  • Conduct business process reviews to identify optimization opportunities and lead workshops to address cross-functional process improvements.
  • Coordinate system modifications and customizations, ensuring business justification and proper testing prior to implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve system issues and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Manage small to medium-scale IT projects from planning through to execution, following IT and project management standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant software, ERP technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Act as a focal point for ERP and ISO audit support, ensuring timely documentation and corrective action tracking.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Prior in the IT industry.
    • Prior work in a functional consulting or user-facing role.
    • Strong experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
    • Hands-on experience in the following domains:
      • Purchasing
      • Sourcing
      • Procurement Contracts
      • Inventory
      • Warehouse Management
      • Enterprise Asset Management
    • Experience in Oracle Time & Labour or HR modules is an advantage.
    • Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and project management methodologies (Agile preferred).
    • Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI tools, and Oracle database programming is an asset.
    • Experience in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in SQL, MS SharePoint, and business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects).
  • Valid UAE driving license or ability to obtain
