Our client, a respected Civil Engineering Contractor based in Inverness, is looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a key role within the business, offering a broad mix of financial administration, operational support, and team coordination.
You’ll play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing key administrative processes, and supporting day-to-day operations.

You’ll play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing key administrative processes, and supporting day-to-day operations.
What you'll be doing:
Finance & Accounting
- Process purchase and sales ledger invoices
- Prepare accrual journals and support month-end reporting
- Manage ad-hoc and petty cash payments
- Oversee credit control and credit applications
- Maintain supplier and customer databases with accuracy and integrity
- Process weekly timesheets and subcontractor invoices
- Maintain internal plant journals
- Ensure all site administration and documentation is up to date
- Administer quarry operations including royalties, taxes, and associated reporting
- Process quarry-related purchase and sales invoices
- Manage vehicle MOTs, tax, insurance, and driver compliance checks
- Oversee annual plant inspections and certifications
- Maintain and distribute live hire and utilisation reports
- Maintain the company training matrix and coordinate staff training/tests
- Manage training grant applications
- Process and track security clearances and renewals
- Record and authorise staff holidays
- Control and monitor PPE stock and registers
- Manage stationery and sundry ordering
About You:
- Proven experience in an accounts or finance administration role
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines
- Experience within the construction or civil engineering sector is desirable but not essential
