Orion Group is seeking an experienced Account Manager II to support our pharmaceutical clients’ in-house advertising agency, partnering closely with brand teams to drive strategic marketing initiatives across pharmaceutical products and campaigns. This role serves as a critical liaison between the agency and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects move seamlessly from concept through execution while aligning with business objectives, compliance standards, and brand strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing
Account & Brand Partnership
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact between brand teams and the in-house agency
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and external vendors/suppliers
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to support brand objectives and promotional initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on campaign goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Collaborate with brand teams to develop creative briefs and promotional strategies
- Oversee projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and expectations are met
- Facilitate clear and timely communication across all stakeholders through status updates and contact reports
- Review creative development to ensure tactical execution aligns with brand strategy and compliance requirements
- Support high-volume project workflows in a fast-paced agency environment
- Maintain strong knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing regulations and promotional review processes
- Ensure adherence to branding standards, PromoMats review requirements, and corporate compliance guidelines
- Demonstrate understanding of product positioning, target audiences, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics
- Work closely with medical, legal, and regulatory teams throughout the lifecycle of promotional materials
- Assist with annual forecasting and budget tracking
- Conduct monthly financial reconciliations
- Manage project scope, timelines, and resource coordination
- Track project-related time and deliverables accurately
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4–6+ years of account management experience
- Strong pharmaceutical marketing knowledge and understanding of regulated environments
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume creative setting
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Pharmaceutical advertising agency or in-house agency experience
- Experience supporting both U.S. and Global pharmaceutical brands
- Familiarity with PromoMats/MLR review processes and pharmaceutical promotional workflows
- Digital marketing background with exposure to online tools, digital campaigns, apps, and omnichannel marketing solutions
