Lab Tech I
Onsite in Abbott Park, IL
1 year contract
Hourly Pay Rate: $20/hr (individual medical benefits available at a cost)
Work shift (days/times) – Part time 20hrs/week. M-F: 4 hrs /day (part time)
Laboratory Technician, Parenteral Product Development, Science and Technology - The Parenteral Product Development group develops antibody drug conjugates (ADC) and other biologics using state-of-the-art formulation and analytical technologies. We create and refine valuable intellectual property through various laboratory studies, assist in the transfer of these technologies to manufacturing sites, and prepare and defend CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) regulatory content.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about laboratory based sciences to support our studies, maintaining and preparing the lab for experiments while following proper laboratory safety protocols.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma with an interest in STEM and 1-3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting like during a college chemistry or biology laboratory course
- AS with 1-3 years of experience
- BS in scientific field with no experience
- General housekeeping of laboratory: supplies, chemical reagents, and lab equipment.
- Follow proper safety protocols which include but are not limited to wearing personal protective equipment, maintaining a safe workspace, and the proper disposal of biohazard and/or chemical waste.
- Conduct administrative tasks related to lab organization and maintenance
- Experience and interest in scientific lab work preferred (can be from school) - pH meter, analytical balance, micropipettes, volumetric measurements, mathematical calculations, unit conversions, etc.
- Be able to work in a scientific laboratory setting with a strong attention to details, safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Be able to work independently and follow directions.
- Possess good communication and documentation skills.
- Be able to lift moderate loads and work with hazardous chemicals.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
