Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Warehouse Technician on behalf of our Multinational Biopharmaceutical Client based in Meath on an initial 12-Month contract with potential to extend.
16/5 with occasional weekend work (4 hours on a sat and 4 hours on a sun time is given back for this). It’s a 20% shift allowance.
The Warehouse Technician supports the Warehouse Team with the day-to-day operations in the Warehouse regarding materials sampling, materials movements into Site, within Site operational areas & shipments from Site to other Sites and external customers. This role will operate with an emphasis on safety and quality and will be committed to continuous improvement, teamwork, personal development and delivery of best-in-class service in support of Drug Substance manufacturing operations at the facility.

Responsibilities:
- Execute Goods Receipting activities.
- Execute Sampling activities using the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) method.
- Execute Picking and Kitting activities for Manufacturing material requests.
- Execute Cyle Counting activities.
- Execute Outbound Shipping and Logistics activities, including dangerous goods. Support the packout of Drug Substance.
- Document material offload checks and sampling activities on eLogs.
- Key user of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, COMET (SAP).
- Key user of the Laboratory Management system, GLIMS
- Support an environment of continuous improvement by participating in and driving innovative activities and ideas in the Material Availability hub to help improve the value stream.
- Support Quality Event Investigations by providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge
- Act as a Qualified Trainer for Warehouse activities.
- Always Maintains/ Supports a high standard of Safety /GMP compliance.
- Actively seeks out performance improvement opportunities, through cross functional training & experience.
- Own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for an operational area in the Warehouse and, where required, modify training packages.
- Specialise in one operational area in the Warehouse: Cell Bank Management; Cold Chain Logistics; Material Management; ERP System Superuser.
- Actively participate in Audits and GEMBAs as an SME and, support Shopfloor problem-solving.
- Actively participate in the Material Availability Tier 0 Board and the Material Availability Tier 1 Board.
Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Good Manufacturing Production (GMP)-regulated environment.
- Forklift license is desirable.
- Education Level 6 – minimum.
- Ability to work independently and, within a cross-functional team.
- Experience using ERP systems at a manufacturing site.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to promote a culture where Diversity and Inclusion is supported
- This role is a site-based role.
- This role requires shift work. The needs of business might need a change in shift pattern – both afternoon-shift & weekend support.
