Due to our growing and developing plans in the HV sector, we have a number of new opportunities for experienced 11-132kv Senior Authorised Person's to join our business based across the UK. As the successful candidate, you will be working on LV/HV/EHV networks and associated plant up to 132kV as well as providing technical support during early sales engagement. In this role you will undertake full SAP operational duties ranging from operational switching, network control, creating and implementing protection settings. There may also be a requirement to provide project management expertise across larger HV Projects.

Skills and Experience

You'll be an experienced Senior Authorised Person on HV/EHV systems, with extensive operational experience on a diverse range of HV and LV systems, and accredited to the standards set by a UK licenced Distribution Network Operator. You'll be familiar with, and comply with, all Suspension of Operational Practice, Dangerous Incident Notifications and National Defect Reports, with proven expertise in complex site project and contract management. In addition, you'll have extensive knowledge of Switching and Network Control as well as the construction, commissioning and operation of electrical plant and equipment on all types of HV/EHV systems, including complex protection schemes up to 132kV and grading studies. Project management experience or formal qualifications such as APMP would be desirable.

Passionate about safety, you will promote this throughout your team and to all Contractors on site, comfortably challenging any unsafe behaviours or attitudes. You'll have strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical training and advice to less-experienced colleagues. You will use your people-management skills to effectively achieve results from your team of direct and indirect labour and from Contractors.

A full UK driving licence is also essential to enable you to cover the network area.
