Canada Jobs

Orion Group has many oil and gas and engineering job opportunities in a variety of locations including Calgary, St John’s, Fort McMurray and Newfoundland. A career in Canada can be extremely rewarding with one of the highest quality of living rankings in the world. The roles available are far-reaching, with vacancies for technical coordinators, project cost estimators, senior construction planners and engineering superintendents, although there are many others. Due to the various jobs on offer, candidates with BSc degrees in Business, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Construction are all desired. However, those with prior experience without one of the aforementioned degrees will still be considered – the level of experience is all-important. Knowledge of OIMS, CIMS and the EPCM project lifecycle is often advantageous, though not always essential – it is largely dependent on the specific job requirements. Contract and permanent roles are consistently posted and different levels of seniority are catered for from entry-level to highly experienced.

Once located in Canada, further opportunities to progress and move to other North American locations become more easily available – both nationally and internationally. For example, after a period of time, you could relocate to the Gulf of Mexico or work with a company on a new national-sized project. One such project is the Alberta oil sands expansion – we are sourcing jobs for Alberta Energy as they look to double their oil sands production by 2022. There are also many offshore opportunities as well as jobs in sectors such as mining and engineering.

If an engineering role in Canada appeals to you, please feel free to take a look at the current vacancies we have on our website below. Additionally, if you upload your CV with us or get in touch, one of our specialist recruitment consultants will be happy to speak to you.
