Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Wells Accountant, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Support the compilation and preparation of the Internal Re-forecasts & Internal Life of Field Plan.
Highlight material issues which need to be addressed.
Ensure all costs forecasts are accurate and understood.
Provide variance commentary as required.
Deliver Forecasts/LOF Plan to the Functional Business Analysts by the required deadlines.
Provide monthly and quarterly variance commentary to corporate reporting.
Support the Business in the preparation and administration of Internal AFEs.
Prepare Functional FM and AFE Control Reports on a monthly basis. Include latest comments on AFE status and assist in AFE approval. Highlight any issues to the Functional Business Analysts by the required deadlines.
Prepare the Financial inputs for the quarterly Performance Scorecards. Ensure accuracy and deliver on time.
Co-ordinate regular Cost Reviews with D&C/WAB Management team.
Maintain accuracy and robustness of cost forecasts.
Highlight any issues to D&C Management Team and Functional Business Analysts.
Undertake any adhoc requests as required by the Lead Business Lead and the Wells Business Analyst.

Education and Qualifications
Ideally, a qualified accountant or experienced accountant with oil and gas industry experience in a financial/commercial environment.
