Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Well Performance Lead, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities include:
Provide in-depth drilling and completions performance analysis extending beyond the scope of basic report interpretation, including interaction with customer and field personnel to obtain information as needed
Provides leadership, direction and technical guidance to the team and proactively supports the professional development of less experienced engineers
Develop and maintain drilling and completion performance metrics, tools and methodologies.
Ensure digitalization initiatives and technology improvement within the industry is captured and continuously evaluated for implementation
Actively contribute to the lessons learned process through improvements initiatives as well as data entry and analysis
Provide on-site expert support to drilling operations during field trials and develop knowledge of the applicable drilling performance products with the operational team and operator
Create reports for internal and external distribution to document value of the products and recommended next steps in technology adoption
Support operational meetings and supports/influences decision-making with relevant operational KPI's monitoring. Ensures an effective process of communication in presenting relevant KPI's, communication between onshore and offshore teams and with key contractors.
Acts as Technical Sponsor for certain drilling contracts and support the contractor management process by developing highly positive relationships with contractors and suppliers and ensuring delivery against KPIs/scorecards
Responsible for the capture and close out of lessons learned and analysis of non- productive time (NPT) events
Assess new well planning software technology and general IT-platform
Implement/Promote effective use of performance improvement business tools
Contribute to monthly performance presentations, covering all rigs drilling activities in the assigned area

Requirements:
Hold a degree in an engineering/technology/science discipline
Strong independent personality, who is questioning the status quo, is able think out of the box
Experience in programming/developing IT software
Good industry knowledge and contacts to source external IT expertise when necessary
Commercial sense to make technical decisions that will benefit business
