Job description

Our Client has a vacancy for a Weighbridge Operator & Administrator to join their busy Production Team based in Inverness.

Reporting to the Process Manager, the successful post holder will be responsible for the efficient weighbridge operation of all product intake to ensure the required levels of customer delivery requests are achieved. The position further provides administrative and practical support to site operations with responsibility for laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct operation and calibration of weighbridge.
  • Carry out product despatch analysis for all loads and produce corresponding certificates of analysis for contracts. Email customers with sales tickets and certificates of analysis when needed.
  • Maintain appropriate weighbridge records for the product and co-products to the industry standards.
  • Co-ordinate weighbridge ticket entry.
  • Assist with production administration.
  • Assist with maintenance administration.
  • Keep stationary stocks.
  • Sample product lorries and carry out product analysis as and when required throughout the year
  • Complete analysis on daily process samples
  • Preparation and dispatch of product samples to the central laboratory.
  • Train, co-ordinate and supervise laboratory labour.
  • Preparation of Customs and Excise documentation on exports.
  • Responsible for petty cash and site mail and franking facilities.
  • Maintain relevant SharePoint sites.
  • Manage site training requirements along with Learning & Development Co-ordinator and upload certificates to SharePoint.
  • Ensure site compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and associated external and internal standards for food safety and product quality.
  • Manage/issue clock cards for site personnel.
  • Maintain suitable stock levels of PPE and PPE records and register.
  • Maintain the Environmental, Health & Safety records including waste transfer notes and licenses.

Qualifications:

Science, Laboratory Science, Mathematics or equivalent

Hours of work: 40 hour per week - 8am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday (30 min. lunch break).

The position will initially be on a temporary basis with a potential to develop into a permanent post for the right candidate.
