Orion Group are looking for a Website Content Specialist for our multinational pharmaceutical client based in the Buckinghamshire area on an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Using CMS system to update website content, push content to syncing environments and push live
  • Coding of mobile responsiveness emails using HTML that work across all major email clients
  • Make changes to email code on the fly while still maintaining code structure
  • Using website CMS templates and components to make website content updates
  • Ability to quickly develop and/or interpret a creative idea into a design execution
  • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications developed
  • Willingness to learn, troubleshoot and set up processes for new technology and projects
  • Be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • Strong knowledge and experience of a wide range of front-end coding languages, website content management and open source technologies for email and web including;

HTML 5 (mandatory)

CSS3 (mandatory)

Java (desirable)

Drupal version 7 (mandatory)

  • Knowledge and experience of using bootstrap or similar web development framework
  • Strong responsive and cross device coding knowledge and experience
  • Basic Excel, Power Point & Word experience essential
  • Knowledge and experience with image and HTML coding optimization for email
  • Knowledge and experience of cross-device and cross-browser development
  • Knowledge and experience of cross-platform email techniques for major email clients such as Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, and Apple Mail, etc.
  • Creative and have a good eye for design and user experience
  • Photoshop, InDesign - have an eye for design and aesthetics
  • Experience of using workflow/project management tools such as Teamwork
  • Knowledge of using Hotjar
  • Google analytics
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Be able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Summarise and present clearly setting correct expectations
  • Be a team player
