The purpose of the post is to ensure endorsement is secured for packaged Higher Activity Wastes (HAW) to meet the requirements of decommissioning programme and Client Specification.

The Job Holder will be responsible for managing programmes of work for the production and delivery of LoC (Letter of Compliance) submission on behalf of projects HAW waste streams and to technically advise on work packages required to close out Action Points following assessment.

Desirable Attributes/Qualifications/Experience

  • Science/Engineering Degree or equivalent qualifications plus experience
  • Experience: extensive nuclear experience
  • Experience in Higher Activity Waste is preferable
  • Experience of the UK nuclear regulatory regime
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with internal senior management and external stakeholders including Regulators.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise and accurate documentation
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Demonstrable ability to influence
  • Good technical background
  • Knowledge and understanding of Higher Activity Wastes/LoC process
