Job description


Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Waste Management and HSE Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
The reason for this role is to provide DEFINE level Waste Disposal engineering for development of
scopes of work, tender package delivery to enable the project to achieve sanction. Waste
management and % recycled across the value and supply chain is a key component of
decommissioning projects, with a recycling metric of around 99% being expected. This role will
assure that the decommissioning project meets the required standards, has a defined and managed
waste hierarchy and that we embed expectations into all of our contracts, processes and activities.
The role will also encompass the HSE aspects of the DEFINE scope up until sanction, which is
expected to be around April 2023. The role will support bid evaluations and will ensure that legislative
and best practises are applied within the project. The role will include significant regulator and company's
HSE team engagement.

Experience & Qualifications:
Solid industry experience, with exposure to UKCS onshore disposal sector, ideally involving offshore
decommissioning project experience.
Likely candidate will have come from a waste disposal contractor / specialist or have a background
with or supporting and E&P
Ability to visit onshore locations
A committed self-starter that will be expected to develop execution plans, procedures and tender work packages within a small, focussed team
