Our client is an engineering company providing offshore services to the Oil and Gas Sector and currently has an urgent temporary requirement for approx. 3 months for a Warehouse Supervisor located in Glasgow. Work involves daytime hours based on 37.5 hours per week.

Key responsibilities and activities include:

  • Manage warehouse store and stock control systems
  • Manage storage arrangements of equipment and stock to ensure efficient use of space and to accommodate maintenance and testing activities
  • Receive goods and maintain goods receipt records, advising recipients of availability
  • Issue goods and maintain goods issued records
  • Liaise with Equipment coordinator to ensure stock levels are maintained through MRP
  • Participate in stock audits as required
  • Ensure warehouse is kept tidy and hazard free
  • Raise requisitions, seek authorisation and liaise with procurement as required
  • Maintain requisition records
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality specifications
  • Assist with set up of stores on site
  • Train and brief site store persons
  • Liaise with site store persons to ensure stores and stock levels are managed effectively
  • Monitor and report on usage of key items and make recommendations on stock levels
  • Develop and improve stock control systems
  • Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager or Head of Department.
