Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join my clinet at this exciting time. You will be responsible for the management of Operational Teams within the Warehouse by leading and motivating to ensure that agreed KPI's and service level agreements are achieved at all times and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.

This is a fast moving environment with high volume stock movement where accuracy is fundamentally important and you will be responsible for the following;

  • Day to Day Management of Operational teams
  • Monitor KPI data identifying trends with a view to improving efficiencies and achieving continuous improvement targets.
  • Ensure FLM process delivers and contributes to overall operational performance - productivity ,cost and service KPI's
  • Manage the Warehouse Teams
  • Ensure client specific KPI's are met
  • Ensure overall department KPI's are met
  • Establish, monitor and re-target productivity for pick teams
  • Ensure loads marshalled correctly
  • Establish, monitor and re-target productivity
  • To be the WMI super user for the Picking and Despatch processes
  • To be the process subject matter expert for all Picking and Despatch processes , including identifying process improvements, testing and implementing.
  • Responsible for identifying and achieving cost saving initiatives wherever possible.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of outgoing orders and internal stock movements.
  • Ability to present comprehensive and robust information when required in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring that Safe Working Practices are adhered to at all times.
  • Ongoing staff management of direct reports; including setting objectives, regular reviews, identifying training needs, handling employment issues and finding suitable resolution within the scope of the Company Handbook.
  • Liaise with internal departments promoting good working relations therefore maximising operational and Company performance.
  • Provide management cover one weekend in four to control operational emergencies such as, emergency lifesaving orders, temperature excursions, intruder activations or security breaches.
  • In addition to your normal duties you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business and flexibility should be recognised as a prerequisite of the role.

Qualifications and Experience;

  • Proven history of building and managing successful teams
  • Articulate, presentable and confident enough to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of lean operational practices
  • Computer literate including warehouse management systems
  • Proven track record of business improvements within an Warehouse operational role
  • Must have a solid 3PL logistics background
  • Significant experience of managing warehouse operations within a fast paced environment
  • Experience of Warehouse Management within the Healthcare industry (desirable)
  • Innovation, enthusiasm and new ideas essential
  • Experienced and successful change agent
