Utilities & Water Injection Section Head

Our client are looking for a Utilities and Water Injection Section Head within Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. You will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, coordinating, and supervising the operation and maintenance of Utilities and Water injection Systems in a reliable and safe manner to achieve cost effective performance while meeting set business targets and deadlines.

As a member of the production Team at Zubair Field Operating Division you will be responsible for:

• Operating and maintaining power generation / interconnection system
• Interfacing with external entities regarding power export and import
• Coordinating integrated shutdown and future projects with concerned stakeholders
• Liaising with Governmental stakeholders for power system related studies/ projects as well as to secure future required power supply
• Ensuring power generation technical asset integrity is maintained in the assigned area to ensure availability and reliability
• Operating and maintaining the water production and injection facilities
• Coordinating with Field Development units and engineering for relevant development / project activities in the area
• Ensuring Water Injection technical asset integrity is maintained in the assigned area to ensure availability and reliability.
• Exercising financial authority at the level established by management for the position
• Providing advice and support to field operations teams on Utilities & Water Injection matters

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

• Degree or diploma in an engineering/technical discipline
• Previous experience in Operation and Maintenance of Power System & Water Injection Equipment
• Previous experience in supervisory level in the field
• Knowledge of English
• Familiarity with the oil and gas industry and all related production equipment & operations
• A proven experience in injection water treatment plants
• In depth knowledge of source water chemical treatment and injection operation
• Experience on supervisory roles in cultural & linguistically diverse working environment
• Provide supervisory leadership to subordinates and develop employees for advancement.
• In depth knowledge of control of work system, previous experience with issuing Permit to Work System
• Having a sense of participation in the constant process of continuous improvement, also demonstrating an aptitude for change
• Demonstrate a sense of adaptation to the environment on which one is called to operate
• Data management and computer literacy (e.g., MS Office - Outlook)
