We are working exclusively with an innovative award winning company who combines precision engineering, traditional craftsmanship and sustainable materials.
The company operates in the global wilderness experiences sector and currently operates in the South of England but is planning to relocate manufacturing to the Moray. They are looking to appoint a UK Operations Manager to not only facilitate the phased transfer of manufacture from the south of England, but also lead, establish and significantly grow their capability from the new location.
Already established in the UK and Europe, our client are looking to expand their business and have identified an impressive growth plan for the next 3-5 years.

The key objectives of the role are as follows: -

Background - Engineered Timber experience; preferred but not essential. Must have broad senior management experiences of World Class manufacturing businesses!
Location - Moray
Production - initially managing the current facility and Operations personnel in the south of England. Note - travel to the south of England will be required during the first year of the role
Human Resources - recruitment and development of the Scottish Operations team; Production, Engineering, Finance and Administration personnel
Purchasing - identify local partners and suppliers in Scotland for improved procurement and cost reduction
Product Installations - essentially the products have global appeal and therefore logistics and installs of the products is potentially a complex affair and will require such experience through selected sub-contractors
Office Administrations - purchasing, bookkeeping, financial project management and materials inventory will be managed within Operations
Product Development - extensive experience in working with and improving product design and engineering
Facilities Project Management - oversee the planned development of the new manufacturing facility in Moray and manage the transition of Production from Sussex to Moray in 2023
