My exciting and market leading client is looking for a Transport Manager who will be accountable and responsible for the success of the depot. You will lead and motivate the team to ensure the highest level of service is provided to customers at all times. You will work with the wider depot network to establish high standards and best practice.

You will require the following;

  • CPC essential
  • Proven track record of building and managing a successful team
  • Transport/warehouse experience
  • Experience of running multi - temperature vehicles
  • Articulate, presentable and confident enough to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Computer literate including warehouse and transport management systems

Key Responsibilities;

  • Accountability for managing and maintaining accurate records in regards to KPI's, striving to constantly improve depot performance.
  • Day to day management of staff, setting objectives, regular reviews and identifying training needs.
  • Managing efficient use of the transport vehicles.
  • Key interface with customers and other depots.
  • Ensure compliance in regard to legislation for all of the depot.
  • Constantly assess work practices to look for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ability to present comprehensive and robust information at meetings when required in a timely fashion.
  • Providing an efficient and high quality service by ensuring safe warehousing and delivery of all products, within the required product guidelines.
  • Pro- actively manages and takes responsibility for all of Health & Safety issues and ensures legal compliance.
  • Identify & actively manage process improvements whilst maintaining profitability of accounts.
  • Ensure that the depot is operating within the legislative requirements of VOSA and DVLA
