Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Training & Competency Coordinator, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for supporting the Training & Competency Advisor in accurately maintaining Inspection personnel training and competency records to ensure full compliance with ISO17020 and ISO9001 requirements and company procedures
* Arranging, recording and monitoring competency assessments / trade tests and communicating outcomes with personnel and project management. Coordinating Technicians attending competency resits and further training as recommended by the Technical Managers
* Issuing reminders to all personnel regarding upcoming Competency Surveillances as well as Training renewals
* Perform regular audits on personnel training and competency records and communicating findings/act where required.
* Providing timely training advice and guidance to recruitment, mobilisation and project teams
* Raising training request forms timeously and liaise with the company training partner to arrange necessary training
* Support with Quality checking completion of PCN/CSWIP training renewal paperwork
* Support in coordinating in-house training
* Update incoming certification/competency/trade assessment records within company training system (Onboard Tracker/Inspection training matrix)
* Proactively ensure compliance (corporate and legislative) in process, documentation, policy and behaviour
* Support the Training & Competency Advisor in projects and initiatives as required
* Arrange and request training via the external training provider, for Inspection office staff, where requested
* Act as a key user of Onboard Tracker, the company training and competency system and support with any information roll outs across the wider Inspection team, as necessary to ensure understanding
* Contribute to the team, sharing best practice and building a "one team" culture
* Ensure participation in performance through the relevant processes and initiatives ensuring the appropriate knowledge and skills are in place
* Liaise and support the Training and Competency Manager in supporting management, operations and employees to ensure awareness and involvement in key competency issues/initiatives
* Strive for full completion of set objectives or KPI's.
* Organise and chair regular meetings with the appropriate teams to ensure integrated and cohesive solutions are developed and agreed by key stakeholders
* Update Manager by providing reports, as required
* Support smooth interaction between intercompany departments as appropriate
* Maintain regular and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience and understanding of Training & Competency processes and requirements
* Previous experience in a T&C or L&D role
* Experience in a fast paced work environment
* Knowledge of the oil and gas industry and specifically an understanding of PCN/CSWIP Training & Competency processes and requirements (desirable)
* Familiar with IRATA requirements (desirable)
* Internal auditor (17020)
* Vision Testing Trainer
* Microsoft applications
* Knowledge of Oil and gas industry (desirable)
* Knowledge of ISO17020 and ISO 9001 requirements (desirable)
* Understanding of the importance of quality assurance (desirable)
* Understanding of related Inspection manual, documentation and procedures relating to Authorisation and Training/Competency (desirable)
