Senior and Principal Town Planners needed in London

Working for one of the UK's leading independent property and infrastructure consultancies, specialising in planning, environment, and sustainability.

With a team comprising of some of the most talented people in the industry, we particularly enjoy working on the most exciting and complex projects, where clients can leverage the full value of our insight and commitment. Our current project portfolio across both the private and public sectors and includes major regeneration projects at Barking Riverside and Meridian Water, housing led regeneration schemes and transport related development as well as major infrastructure schemes. We also work on Greenfield sites including Green Belt as well as those requiring Environmental Impact Assessment. We also carry out a wide range of bespoke planning and environmental assignments - everything from air quality monitoring, construction management plans to health/equalities impact assessments and expert witness services

Job Titles: Senior and Principal Town Planners

Salary: Senior Consultants - £35,000+ pa; Principal Consultants - £45,000+ pa.

Location: Central London

Terms of employment: Full time permanent

What we're looking for?

We are seeking enthusiastic Town Planners to support sustained growth in a number of our key service areas, especially in relation to Property. We would expect Senior Town Planners to have 5 years plus experience and Principal Town Planners to have 8 years plus experience. You will be MRTPI qualified and while we welcome applications from both the public and private sectors, at least some experience of private sector consultancy will be an advantage.

About the role:

You will work closely with Project Managers and other Consultants, especially within the property team, but will also provide advice on infrastructure projects. The roles will afford you the opportunity to continue to deliver growth through exciting and very diverse planning projects as well as helping to promote and secure work across the company's other propositions.

We would expect you to have some experience in winning new work, especially at more senior levels, and the enthusiasm and drive to want to continue to do that. What we're looking for from you?

Successful candidates will:

  • Have at least a good degree in a relevant field typically Town Planning or Geography;
  • Be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the Planning System;
  • Be capable of managing and delivering complex planning applications but also be willing to deal with simpler matters with a hands-on attitude to the work; Be organised, flexible, motivated, professional, enthusiastic and proactive with a strong
