Our client is one of the UK's leading Engineering companies based in North Lanarkshire.

An existing opportunity has to come to market for a Temporary Business Support Administrator to cover a period of sickness.

Day to day you will be responsible for:

This role will support the administration of all business support functions including;

  • To undertake all on site reception duties including; receiving visitors at reception, co-ordinating visitor facility requirements and answering incoming calls
    • Source, evaluate and place purchase orders with approved vendors for authorised purchase requisitions
    • Expedite purchase orders to gain timely delivery
    • Liaise and communicate with the business to resolve any purchasing queries
    • Reactive to changing requirements onsite
    • Maintain and keep to date product list information
    • Manage the vendor approval process
    • Ensure that all vendor certification and information is kept up to date
    • Account manage vendors
    • Process authorised expenses with correct tax coding
    • Complete purchase ledger day book check weekly
    • Provide cover for some of Finance activities where required
    • Preparation and co-ordination of delivery and shipping, ensuring onsite paperwork complete as required
    • Travel arrangements put in place as required
    • Monitor and replenish stationary items
    • Other general admin duties as required

Ideally, you will:

  • A background in admin and finance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisations skills with ability to multi task
  • Proficient user of all MS Office packages
  • Self-starter with ability to see a task through to completion
  • Ability to balance time and tasks, prioritising where appropriate
