Job description


Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Technology Partner, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain an outline UK Technology vision/strategy, identifying goals necessary for research and development.
* Through engagement with the wider business, system stakeholders, and Company R&D entities formulate and track delivery of a UK federated Technology Roadmap
* Support the TDI Manager in Coordination of the TDI Steering & Validation Committee,
* On behalf of company's prepare and maintain in close cooperation with asset stakeholders, the annual Asset Stewardship SE08 - Technology Deployment Submission in support of obligations under the NSTA Strategy (13 & 14 - to deploy new, emerging, and existing technology to optimum effect), and contained with the Technology Roadmap.
* Lead the deployment of identified Technology solutions (with IS, the Assets and OneTech teams as necessary) - including the physical design and applied application of RAS solutions
* Conduct research and identify technological trends to achieve company's Strategic Priorities, a competitive advantage, or benefits for the Company
* Develop a UK Technology Strategy (leveraging 3rd party engagement where necessary), which includes:
o 8x Categories as defined by SE08 Technology Deployment Submission
o Net Zero
o Digital
* Deploy an affiliate technology governance model, a transparent process for Technology Management that ensures business ownership, whilst capturing TRL (Technology Readiness Level) progression levels aligned to identified asset savings
* Steer investment and budget for TEC with the TDI and IS team to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved without negative impact on the business.
* Create internal development and deployment proposals for technologies, ensuring they are costed with clear delivery milestones and KPIs to ensure value for the Company.
* Develop proposals to secure external funding (NZTC, Innovate UK, etc) for identified Company Technology Projects
* Build and maintain strong partnering relationships with all Internal & External stakeholders necessary to achieve delivery against the UK Technology Strategy.
* Ensure awareness of and promote the use of technological assets and industry trends to provide insight and opportunities for enhancing internal services for employees and clients/partners/supply chain.
* Collaborate with TDI leads on communication plans, promote TDI activities across the affiliate to build knowledge, awareness, and alignment.
* Work in partnership with key stakeholders across the company to implement technology strategies, aligning technological resources with the company's short and long-term needs.
The role will build a network (Company and External) of Technology providers and landscape investors and influencer to ensure that company is appraised, and able to efficiently valorise the deployment of new technologies.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal skills are required with the ability to effectively influence stakeholder relationships,
* An organised mindset, methodical and able to handle ambiguity whilst multi-tasking scopes,
* Behavioural skills: self-motivated, autonomy, open-mindedness, adaptability, achievement orientated, team player
* Ability to work independently on own initiative and to contribute as part of a team
* A proven track record of being a team player with leadership potential
* Capacity to manage complex projects and activities.
* The job holder must be qualified to degree level in a STEM subject, with significant years of Industry experience
* The ability to explain and present complex technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
* Wide career exposure to several technical disciplines (Core Discipline, Development Architecture, or R&D)
* Extensive knowledge of Group statutory policies and specifications
* A working knowledge of the technical background to the relevant metiers, departments, and Assets
