Job description

Orion Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Proposals Engineer on a permanent basis for one of our industry leading clients.

Location: Manchester

Salary: Circa £35,000 - £38,000

The Job:
* Review enquiries that typically include client's technical specifications and commercial documentation
* Working closely with the Sales team in creating competitive, high quality and timely estimates and proposals
* Comfortable presenting technical and commercial information to all levels of the business
* Good technical skills are needed to prepare technical compliant and cost efficient proposals
* It is essential that you develop a good understanding of typical industrial requirements and solutions, particularly with respect to equipment to be used in hazardous areas

Key Skills:
* Experience in electrical or control system engineering
* Ability to read and understand technical specifications
* Good working knowledge of Fire & Gas detection equipment desirable
* AutoCAD design experience desirable
* Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and certifications desirable

Key Qualifications:
Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
