Technical Clerk/Document Controller

Our client, a specialised company offering a range of services to support multiple industries, are looking for a Technical Clerk/ Document Controller to join them in their offices near Inverness.

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the role objective is to control all technical documentation and provide secretarial support to technical and operations departments.

General duties will include:

  • Assisting with compiling technical manuals and documentation
  • Assisting with control of qualification records and register
  • Providing secretarial support to Technical Department
  • Maintaining Project files
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Keeping up to date files for all current projects with clients and offsite jobs,

Core competencies /skills:

  • Able to communicate well with all personnel both within the company and externally
  • Be highly organised, possess good interpersonal and numerical skills and be able to multi-task and prioritise work within a busy and pressurised environment
  • Show loyalty, integrity and adaptability in the frequently changing work situations
  • Be dependable, approachable and have a can-do attitude
  • Have a high standard of oral and written communication and ability to show initiative
  • Be flexible, self-motivated and a team player
  • IT proficient: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)

Prior experience in a similar role would be desirable, although is not essential.

Candidates should also hold a current clean driving licence.

This is a contract role with the initial duration of 3 months however the position may be offered on a permanent basis to the right candidate.
