Orion Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Author on a contract basis for one of our industry leading clients in the Manchester area.

Location: Manchester

Hours: Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 17:00 / Fri 08:30 - 15:30 (Flexible with home working)

The Job:

* Understanding and interpreting client's technical specifications

* Developing technical document to client specifications

* Participation Contract review meeting internally and with the client

* Providing general contract support to the Project manager

* Preparing document transmittals and managing document control of the project (Doc. control)

* Being able to understand and interpret technical drawings P&ID's / Schematics

* Interpreting Approval Authority rules and Regulations

Essential Requirements:

* Developing contract technical documentation

* Liaising directly with the client and approval authorities

* Experience in interpreting clients technical specifications

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft std packages

* Full UK Diving License

* UK Passport

* SC UK MOD Security clearance will be required and can be arranged once offers have been accepted.
