Orion group are recruiting a Technical Analyst (Junior) behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical Client based in Northampton, UK- 6-month contract

Provides moderate support, with general supervision, in one or more of the following technical areas: desktop, telecom, networks, servers, messaging, LAN, security, and job scheduling. This includes monitoring, testing, and deploying these environments.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor call queues and prioritize daily activities.
  • Provide routine support for hardware and software problems.
  • Provide support for the technical area of support.
  • Provide 24 hours on-call support as required
  • Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components.
  • Document system/environment changes.
  • Monitor system activities.
  • Assist in various projects.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, under general supervision.
  • Knowledge of hardware, internals, peripherals, and software on platforms supported.
  • Ability to follow established processes
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills.
  • Familiarity with validated or quality systems is a plus.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer related field irrelevant technical experience. Technical certifications recommended.
