Job Title - Joint Coating Technical Advisor

Job Description

* Knowledge of all types of Field Joint Coating practices and the ability to recognize any faults during the application process.

* Accurately record activity during Field Joint Coating process

* Advanced Knowledge and understanding of the various testing equipment used in the coating industry.

* Specification review at proposal stage

* Challenge feasibility of project

* Maintain close technical communication with customer

* Plan PQT:

o Attend & contribute to Kick Off Meetings

o Generate documentations (ITP, PQT Report, MS, MSDS etc)

o Analysis of requirements

o Arrange PQT / support Project Manager for PQT

o Arrange Lab testing (lab testing tracking sheet)

o Liaise with client for lab testing witnessing

o Manage Test equipment (certificate and calibration)

o Perform on site testing

o Issue PQT report

* Responsible for Project document control

* Contribute to evaluation and registration of new material (COSHH assessment, others)

* Ensure up to date document is in place for our Raw Materials

* Handle Technical Queries throughout project life

* Keep up to date on new material and process developments and communicate to the wider team

* Advise and make the management team aware of any risks associated with materials in use and changes to regulations specific to standard coating systems
