Job description

My client is the UK's fastest growing EV charging network company, and also a Major Integrated Energy Company.

They're looking to hire a Systems Engineer on a permanent staff basis, to help them deliver the fastest, most convenient network of 100,000 EV charging points worldwide by 2030. based at Milton Keynes 2-3 days a week, with flex to work from home the other days.

Responsibilities:

  • Working within systems engineering to develop new features in line with the engineering process
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop an appropriate system level solution based on clear feature definition and requirements
  • Development and management of user and system requirements including traceability
  • Analysis of functional, behavioural and performance requirements
  • Logical design, architectural design, functional decomposition and allocation and interface definition
  • System integration and user acceptance testing
  • Facilitating reviews with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business functions

Essential Expereince Required:

Systems engineering, model based systems engineering using SysML or UML, requirements management and traceability and interface definition.

We're looking for a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in the field of science and engineering, with good experience in Systems Engineering.

We want someone who is customer-centric and a natural at building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders. For example, marketing, product owners and technical architects as interfacing with other business functions is essential.

You must be agile, adaptable, a good listener and a fast learner.

Desirable:

Even better if you have a proven track record of robust on-time project delivery in a hybrid working environment (Agile / Waterfall).

It is desirable if you have experience driving reviews with cross functional teams with the ability to communicate complex technical considerations clearly and simply to a diverse audience.

You will preferably have experience developing systems which use ISO15118, OCPP or similar protocols and experience with Vehicle Charging, Smart Grid, Smart Metering, Renewable Energy.
